Jamal Narul Islam


He was born in 24th February 1939 at Jhenaidah. If we consider 7 greatest scientists in the
modern world, he will be must in that list. He is known as JN Islam. He was a roommate of Stephen
Hawking in Cambridge University. From 1960-1980, Hawking researched about few scientists and Jamal
Nazrul Islam was one of them. He was a giant, an unparalleled expert on quantum field theory. He wrote
incredibly important papers. Yet, he is not widely remembered because he is not credited with a “great
discovery.” He wrote a book named ( কৃ ষ্ণ বিবর) about black hole many years before than Stephen
Hawkings famous book “Black Hole”. But unfortunately, it did not get popularity.

Fazlur Rahman Khan


Bangladeshi American civil engineer known for his innovations in skyscrapers or high-rise
building construction. He was born in 1929 at Decca (currently Dhaka). He is known as the "father of
tubular designs" for high rise buildings. His many skyscraper projects include Chicago’s John Hancock
Center (1970) and Sears (now Willis) Tower (1973), which are among the world’s tallest buildings.
The Sears Tower was his first skyscraper to employ the “bundled tube” structural system.
