Part II: Reflection

CANDIDATE REFLECTIONS:
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology facilitation and
leadership from completing this field experience?

I learned how the WebQuest model can support inquiry-based, student-centered learning and promote higher-order
thinking. I learned the principles of design and how they facilitate the ease and clarity on information digitally. I
learned that WebQuests can be a tool to differentiate learning as students can explore multiple site and multimedia
resources to find the information they need to make a product.

2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you
be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs, enthusiasm) required of a technology
facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected in Part I. Use the
language of the PSC standards in your answer and reflect on all 3—knowledge, skills, and
dispositions.)
I need to know (knowledge) the tools for creating and managing digital content and facilitating these (skill) in a way
that promotes authentic learning and high-ordering thinking. I needed to know (knowledge) the ADDIE model of
designing, developing, implementing and evaluating digital tools for learning, as well as use this model to reflect on
the effective of my learning tool and make changes in accordance with that feedback (disposition). I needed know
(knowledge) research-based best practices for instructional design as well as how to implement them effectively.

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or
student learning at your school. How can the impact be assessed?

When I implement this project in my classroom, it will impact my students’ learning through an interesting learning
context, scaffolding, differentiation, and multiple representation of information with a higher-order learning task—
creation—and the possibility of shred with a broad audience. I will evaluate it’s effectiveness through use of the
rubrics provided to measure student learning outcomes. I will also share with professional learning communities and
school community.
