Narrative Tenses – Short Film Description

Instructions:

 Find the video:

On YouTube, by searching for “Past Tenses – Short Film Description”.
Or by clicking the link on the website where you found the activity (e.g. busyteacher.org).
 Watch the short film. Write sentences describing what happened in each clip.
 Use past tenses. Use some of the verbs from the boxes. You have to change the verbs into past
forms.

Two octopuses were in a tank. They looked at each other lovingly and then hugged.
While they were hugging, a hand came into the tank and took the pink octopus out.
The orange octopus was dropped back into the tank alone.

The orange octopus seen the pink octopus being taken then weighed on a scale. He looked at
his beloved being put into a box then being carried by human with white clothes. As the
human walked away, the orange octopus still trying to figure out the situation.

The orange octopus seen the symbol on the vehicle which the human used. He imagined his
beloved being killed by knife which chopped her into pieces. The orange octopus felt terrified
after imagining the horror that will happen.

As the key being put into the hole and the engine started to run, The orange octopus can’t
just stay put and climbed off from the watertank. He walked away from the water tank then
start to run with his 8 legs. Even though the human has drove the vehicle away , but the
orange octopus has successfully jumped and Held the back of the vehicle tightly with all he
got.

As the human drove the vehicle, he seen the orange octopus climbed up from the opened
window. The human felt scared and screamed at the sight of the orange octopus. The human
tried to hit the orange octopus with his hand to shook of the octopus from his vehicle.

The orange octopus tried to save the pink octopus by opening the box from the window. At
the other hands, The human turned the vehicle to avoid a wall. As a result the orange
octopus being thrown then fell to the front of the vehicle windows and pinned by the vehicle
wiper, the pink octopus tried to save her beloved by pulling the vehicle brake . the vehicle
spun around a few time before it stopped by itself. The two octopuses being thrown out from
the vehicle and hit the side of the road.

After some time The human woke up. he looked up and seen the orange octopus being pulled
up the bridge by the pink octopus. He then drove the vehicle then tried to grab both of them.
Fortunately the two octopuses fell into the water below the bridge after the human missed
his chance.

The two octopus swam then jumped from pool to pool and bounced off umbrella to run away
from the human. The human watched the two of them tried to run away and then drove his
vehicle in attempt to get the octopuses. Even though the two octopuses tried so hard to
runaway. at the end, both of them are being catched by the driving human.

the vehicle which the human drove has lost control. The human sat at the window while
trying to held the two octopuses. The two octopuses were being hit a few times onto the top of
the vehicle roof. As a retaliation the two of them spat black ink at the human face and
bounced away from his grasp.

The human tried to get in and regain the vehicle control. Unfortunately the vehicle crashed
and hit other people house. the vehicle jumped off from the house broken window and fell
into the sea while the human screamed in the vehicle. the two octopuses successfully landed
onto the rope which used to dry the laundry.

The two octopuses sat at the rope while looking at each other romantically. Suddenly a
seagull which flew around swoop in and picked up the orange octopus. After being jumped
out of nowhere by the seagull, the pink octopus catapulted herself and flew towards the
seagull to save the orange octopus which was catched by the seagull.
