A CELEBRATION OF LOVE

Valentine’s Day is a time when people show feelings of love, affection and friendship. It is
celebrated in many ways worldwide and falls on February 14 each year.

Many people around the world celebrate Valentine’s Day by showing appreciation for the people
they love or adore. Some people take their loved ones for a romantic dinner at a restaurant while
others may choose this day to propose or get married. Many people give greeting cards,
chocolates, jewelry or flowers, particularly roses, to their partners or admirers on Valentine’s
Day. It is also a time to appreciate friends in some social circles and cultures. This kind of event
were being celebrated in our school every year.

The Supreme Student Government of Sanchez Mira School of Arts and Trades prepared a brief
and straightforward program in school to celebrate Valentine's Day. The students gathered
together at the Sanchez Mira School of Arts and Trades Gymnasium when the clock strikes at
2:00 PM to celebrate the Valentine’s Day in the year of 2020.The program starts with singing the
National Anthem and praying led by the Supreme Students Government Officials.

There was also a paired competition for King and Queen of Hearts during the Valentine’s Day
until there's some error in the Round 3 of the competition on "Find your other Half" which is you
will be finding the other half of the heart the is given to you. Until they crowned the King and
Queen of Hearts which is the Grade 12 Candidates named Juan Karlo Datu and Kaila Sacatani.
There was also a dancing and singing competition held after the crowning of King and Queen of
Hearts.

As conclusion, the time that the program started and ended was too late because there are many
students who go home late in the afternoon but the program was good. I appreciate the efforts of
the Supreme Students Government to prepare that program but I hope for a better show next
time.
