How would you go about simplifying a complex issue in order to explain it to a

client or colleague?

Answer: Complex issues are not always easy to make it easy to understand by any client or
colleague. As in the words of Albert Einstein “If you cannot explain it simply, you do not
understand it well enough”.

In order to explain complex issue I can use some of the techniques that helpful in solving a
complicated problem.

1. Being Concise
 Most Significantly I would make sure that my Resonance has been powerfully
built with my colleague or client only then any a practical method would work
on him/her.
2. Taking an Improvisation class

 After assuring this, coming to understand clearly and distinctly of said issue is
highly significant as to find out any method to solve a problem, that problem
must be comprehended as problem to a person.

3. Using Visual metaphors to help the client or colleague to understand and

remember

 Then I can show him/her some video clips pertaining to the problem of client
or colleague so that he can associate it to his issue and then it would be easy
to bring solution. Moreover client often get bore to listening, therefore; we
have the option of crafting the information into a story, and then the client is
immediately engaged.

4. Giving Self Reflection Technique

 I can use self - Revealing technique so that he/she will relate it to his/her
problem.

5. Narrating a Story

 I can also correlate some story form of that problem as it could be possible
that my colleague or client is auditory learner and such method can be taken
in use to elaborate the complex issue. No problem what kind of story you
narrate to the client you must refrain from being too vague.
