Questionnaire
1. Has your child set academic goals? If so, what are they?
2. Does your child often feel overwhelmed and/or anxious?
3. What do you hope to achieve through our coaching engagement?

Has your child set academic goals? If so, what are they? Answer: No
So if the child is not having academic goals, my top priority as a coach would
be to give some definition to some basic academic goals. Since student is deeply
anxious about future and studies, it would only make sense to set a equitable
goal. It could be possible that the student is very sincere in studies, but is unable
to put his mind thoroughly through academics.
As a coach, I’d firstly like to interact with the student and discuss his or her
weaknesses. Subject-wise, students can be guided with a right approach towards
note-taking, notes organising, and self-study and test performance.
A weekly planner design would definitely aid more into his achievement of
academic success. Child’s unrealistic expectation not aligning to his/her input to
his or her hard work is a big issue amongst students.

Does your child often feel overwhelmed and/or anxious? Answer: Yes
If the child often feels overwhelmed or anxious, this could only be due to his or
her weaknesses hindering his performance and confidence in performing well.
A brief overview is sufficient to conclude that the child definitely has the
greater ability to perform well in exams and other extra activities. Due to
ineffective usage of time or wastage of time could lead to last-minute approach
of getting tasks done which needs to be fixed.
Other problems like procrastination, self-doubts, anxiety adds more to the
problem of feeling overwhelmed. Students might want to self-diagnose these
issues and would not be able to work in constructively so therefore, it is for the
betterment for both of the coachee and coach to discuss the hurdles and work on
them altogether.
As a coach, it’d be desirable to work on these issues to feel less anxious and
greatly overwhelmed.
What do you hope to achieve through our coaching engagement?
If the objective of this coaching is to learn life-long habits of being a self-
learner, taking initiative towards to it is our first and the most important step. To
tap the hidden potential of the student, it’ll require intensive amount of work on
executive skills. These executive skills include Organizing, planning, and
prioritizing, regulating emotions. Academic skills can be hence improved
thereof, provided the student is sincere and follows an organised way of
studying and doing other tasks which affect his or her life.

The coaching engagement will be really fruitful if the student is willing to

perform well and aspires to be an independent individual, achieve financial
stability and outshine his peers which he is not able to do right now otherwise.
The child can be a future leader and can develop executive skills which will
lead him or her to perform very well academically as well as in his hobbies and
interests.

To achieve and celebrate his/her small and as well big wins of his life overall
with the development of ethical habits is the goal of this coaching engagement.
