ETHICS AND DIVERSITY IN GROUPS AND TEAMS

HANNAH MAE D. SARZA BSBA MICROFINANCE II February

20,2020

Ethics are the moral principles or beliefs of what is right and wrong. And in our daily lives

we should have the proper ethical behaviour in order for us to get along with others especially to

our peers and co-workers. In the workplace we should possessed the following work ethics:

punctuality, appearance, responsibility, teamwork, hardworking, integrity, fairness, honesty,

respect and cleanliness. Among this work ethics, I think the most important was Punctuality.

Because in a group or team, the task could be easily finish if the members get on the meeting

place on time. The earlier the task was made the earlier it will be finished. Another was

Teamwork, this is the key to easily achieve the goals. If teamwork was there in a group there is

a force that will drive the group’s success. Teamwork enables people to build on each one

another’s idea and prior knowledge, resulting to a new innovation.

Ethics was also important in Leadership, ethical leadership was the understanding of the

right values or of having a strong character. And an ethical leader should not only has high

determination to succeed but also should understand the importance of building a strong

framework that allows the members to follow the examples. He should strengthen his

relationship with the members. And he should communicate or create an open conversation so

that the members would be encourage to share their ideas and knowledge. Also he should be

open, honest and direct in all situations and with all kinds of people so that it will be easy for him

to achieve the common goals.
