1.0 INTRODUCTION
Rise Above The Best is one of the English intervention programmes conducted by the
English Language Panel of SK St Jude(M), Dalat. This programme is specifically
designed for the Year Six pupils. The programme is hoped to improve the
performance of the pupils in the upcoming UPSR.

2.0 RATIONALE
This programme is held as an exposure to the pupils who will be sitting for the UPSR.
It focuses on strategies to answer the exam questions effectively. In addition, it is one
of the initiatives to help the pupils who are weak.

3.0 OBJECTIVE
i. To expose pupils the techniques of answering the English UPSR questions.
ii. To achieve the target for English in UPSR (100% pass both papers).

4.0 DURATION
o February - August

o Sekolah Kebangsaan Saint Jude (M), Dalat, Sarawak.

 8.0 ACTIVITIES
 Year Six pupils are divided into two groups.
 Every group is taught by an English teacher.
- Group 1 with Miss Nursyazana Athirah binti Lias
- Group 2 with Mdm. Felicia @ Betty binti Sakmad
 Materials during the program will be prepared by the teachers themselves.

9.0 CLOSURE
With the implementation of this programme, it is hoped that it will help the Year Six
pupils to improve their skills in answering the English UPSR questions and ultimately
score better in the UPSR exam. This programme is also hoped to benefit the whole
organization involved.
