Syllogism rules

Case 1
All A are B. All B are C

Conclusion -All A are C

Rule #1
IF All A are C is true, then Some A are C is also true.
Converse not necessarily true.

Similarly, If No P is Q is true, then Some P are not Q is also true.

Case 2
Some A are B. Some B are C

Or

As, relation between A and C is not known, we cannot ignore either of them.

In this case, conlcusion - Some A are C is may be/ may not be


Conclusion - No A is C is also may be/ may not be

Rule #2
Two or more some statements don't give us a unique conclusion. It gives possibilities.

Rule #3
May be/ may not be - always consider false unless option clearly mentions that it is a
possibility.

Case 2 e.g -

Conclusion - No A being C is a possibility - True
