Situation :
Miss Merida is sick with Hemorrhagic fever and She is concerned about being infected by
covid-19

Dialogue :
Nurse : Good morning, Miss Merida
Client : Good morning, Nurse.
Nurse : I would like to introduce my self before, My name is Airin. I’m nursing student of
Health Polythecnic Yogyakarta. What would you like to be called ?
Client : Miss Meda, please.
Nurse : Ok Miss Meda, I practice here from 8 a.m. o’clock to 2 p.m. o’clock to take care of
you. I hope you could cooperate so that you could be health again as before. In here, I
work with other health profession such as physician, physiotherapist, and dietitian.
You may ask anything about treatment, particulary about something that you don’t
understand.
Client : Thank you, Nurse. I understand.
Nurse : How are you today, Miss Meda?
Client : I feel very anxious, Nurse. Actually, what kind of pain am I? How come my fever
doesn't go down. Am I infected with Covid-19?
Nurse : No It’s not, Miss Meda. From the results of a health check and rapid test, you have
Hemorrhagic fever and non reactive.
Client : So, I just had hemorrhagic fever, not infected Covid-19, right?
Nurse : Of Course Miss, don't be too anxious. Now I would like to give you a health
education to reduce your anxiety. I'll took 5 minute of your time. Is there anything
you want to ask or to do before we start ?
Client : Not now, Nurse.
Nurse : Could we start right now, Miss Meda ?
Client : Yes please.
Nurse : Miss Meda, what do you know about hemorrhagic fever.
Client : Sorry I don’t know exactly
Nurse : The fever that you experience is a process of hemorrhagic virus infection. Fever due
to DHF will experience 3 phases. The first phase is what you’re experiencing right
now that is between 2-7 days, so it's natural that your body temperature is still high.
Now it's still your 5th day. So, Miss Meda don't be worried.
Client : Okay, I understand better. But I still feel anxious, nurses. I am very worried about
my situation. Moreover, there is a pandemic like this.
Nurse : That was a normal response, Miss Meda. To reduce your anxiety you could do some
rest or relaxing with a deep breath technique for five seconds, then hold it for five
seconds, then release it slowly again in five seconds too. Repeat after yourself until
your anxiety is lessened and your mind is more relax.
Client : Is it really like this, Nurse ? (practicing)
Nurse : Yes that's right.
Client : Okay, I'll try to relax and trying to not worry anymore.
Nurse : Great, Miss Meda. Is there anything else you want to ask?
Client : Enough, Nurse. I understand better.
Nurse : Good, then Miss Meda, could you explain what we have already discussed, please?
Client : Yes, you have explained earlier about the meaning of hemorrhagic fever and also
help me to reduce my anxiety because of my condition with deep breath.
Nurse : That’s really good, Miss Meda, From the discussion, I can make a conclusion that
you have already known about hemorrhagic fever and how to manage your anxiety.
Client : Thanks, Nurse.
Nurse : You were so active while we were discussing about this disease, this is a good
things.
Client : My pleasure.
Nurse : Ok. Miss Meda, I thinks it’s enough. Thanks for your attention.
Client : Your welcome, Nurse. I also thank you.
Nurse : Your welcome Miss Meda.
All right. I’m going back to nurse station, if you need a help, you can call me with
push the bell. Good morning, Miss Meda. See you later.
