CULTURAL AWARENESS BOOTH EXHIBITION

Theme: Countries That Once Occupied Tanah Melayu, Sarawak and Sabah

General Guidelines:

Exhibits should be planned carefully and imaginatively. Please observe the following
guidelines and policies:

1. An exhibit should attract and hold the viewer's interest. Individuals in the exhibit
should try to make it an enjoyable and informative experience for the visitor.
2. The Cultural Exhibit should be educational and must reference the year’s theme.
3. The best exhibits are those with live participants that create an atmosphere, tell a
story, or depict a craft, instead of merely displaying articles.
4. SOMEONE IN NATIVE DRESS MUST BE IN THE BOOTH AT ALL TIMES.
Please note that disregarding this regulation will result in deduction of points!
5. Individuals in an exhibit should be able to explain and answer questions about the
activities and purpose of the exhibit.
6. All Exhibits must be set up and staffed when the booth opens and remain open and in
operation until it closes. EARLY BREAKDOWN IS NOT PERMITTED.

Passport Scavenger Hunt:

Kids will “travel the world” with the passport scavenger hunt, where they must find out
information about each country’s culture and geography to become a Citizen of Malaysia.
They will come to your Cultural Exhibit to answer a question(s) about your representative
country. Please reward correct answers with stamps that are already provided.
