Türk Traktör is equipped with a strong manufacturing base. It is the first plant in Turkey to make extensive
use of the Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) which employs sophisticated control devices and robotized
manufacturing units in its production.
Approximately a third of the 455 production work stations are Computer Numerical Control (CNC)
machining centres, enabling production based on the FMS concept.
This approach grants the factory a very high degree of flexibility with respect to various production outputs.
Machinery and equipment include 83 computer controlled horizontal machine centres and 22 CNC lathes.
In the last decade the Company invested over USD 100 million
in its manufacturing technologies, establishing an in-house
engine production unit as well as one of the most modern
paint shops in Turkey. This, coupled with a state of the art
automated thermal processing shop and assembly facilities
that are rooted in a well established production technology,
all combine to give Türk Traktör a clear advantage both in
terms of product quality and production costs.

integrating its resources with the CNH network. It also adapts designs for local
manufacture and develops product improvements to satisfy various worldwide
market needs, which contribute to ensuring the plant’s highest quality standards.
The design activity uses 3D and finite modelling analysis to guarantee optimal
standards of quality and reliability.
The engine test facility is accredited to perform emissions testing in accordance
with European regulations.

Tests performed at the New Holland Türk Traktör R&D plant include:
• Laboratory Component Testing
• Front Hood Latching and Durability Test
• Suspended Pedal Endurance Test
• AVL Chassis Dynamometer
• Engine Test System
• Quick Prototyping
• Bump Tests

After sales is an important area where Türk Traktör focuses by providing training, parts availability
and technical support to its customers and dealers.
Training is provided to customers and dealer staff for domestic and export markets in four well
equipped training sites throughout Turkey.
To ensure parts availability there are two parts depots in Turkey: one based in Ankara, close to
the plant and one in Izmir, a major port city on the West coast of the country. On a monthly basis
85,000 boxes are shipped out of the depots to support both the domestic and export markets.
