CONCEPT MAP

ENGLISH
o Create a dictionary on the Noongar language and
their meaning.
o Write a story where the setting is based on the
different Noongar seasons.
o Design posters of the different seasons and their
characteristics, using written language and pictures.

MATHEMATICS
o Create a calendar using days and months based
on the seasons (both Western and Indigenous)
o Create a timeline for the trees in the school on
how they change during the different seasons
o Create a survey of everyone’s favourite seasons
and then create a tally table plus graph to show the
results.

THE ARTS
o Role-play and act the story ‘Walking With
the Seasons in Kakadu’ using dramatic skills
o Create props and visual art that are linked
with the role-play
o Create dances for each season that reflect
on their characteristics, e.g. summer – wipe
sweat off face.
