Safety Procedures: PPE

Safety glasses at all times also have to cover sides, welding jacket is optional, and gloves.

Emergency Stop
Never push the emergency stop button unless there is an emergency. You want to press the feed hold button
to fix problems. Emergency stops the whole machine and shuts it down. Is an override button

Step 1:
When using machines ask the teacher first if you can.

Step 2:
Next power on the machine. Follow directions that the machine tells you

Step 3:
Next is to set up your operations(setting tools your piece).

MDI:
Manuel Data Input

Program Select:
Where you select your program to run. Like a warm-up.

Hand Jog:
When you manually control the position of the machine. Its a little knob you can turn to move the machine
around.

ATC:
Automatic Tool Changer

Spindle Speed and Stop:

These are override buttons

Feedrate:
This is an override button and tells the machine how fast to move the machine. How fast the machine cuts

Feed Hold:
You press this button to stop the program and to reset the welding if there is a problem. Feed Hold stops the
machine immediately so it won't move.
