MOMOTARO ROLES PLAY SCRIPT

NARRATOR : Once upon a time ago, there were old spouse who lived
at the outskirt of a village in Japan. They were old but
they had no children. Oneday, while the old woman
washing clothes at the river, she saw a peach was floating
down .

Old woman: Wow, a peach. But it’s so small. I wish I would get a bigger
peach.

NARRATOR: Suddenly, an extra ordinary huge peach was floating

down the river. She was amazed.

Old woman: Oh my God! What’s the big peach.

NARRATOR: She was rushing to inform her husband. Right after her
husband reached at the home. She told her husband.

Old woman: Hi, dear. I would like to tell you something.

Old man : Yes, what’s happened?

Old woman: I know that you love peach very much, dear. So I brought
you a huge peach. I’ve found it at the river while I
was washing the clothes. You’ll be suprised, I thought.

Old man : Really! Let me see.

NARRATOR: The wife showed the peach to the husband.

Old man : Wow! Amazing.

NARRATOR: All of sudden, the peach was moving and came out a cute
little baby from the peach.
Old man & old woman : It’s miracle. Thank you God.

Old woman: I think we have to give him a great name.

Old man : MOMOTARO, the peach boy.

NARRATOR : Momotaro grew was fantastic fast. He was growing as

fast as he took his meal. He grew as brave and
kind-hearted boy.
Oneday, an evil ogre came to the village and stole the
villagers belonging and destroy everything. Nobody dare
to stop the ogre. After it left, Momotaro asked for
permission from his parents to fight the ogre. The parents
felt worried but they gave the permission. Before he
started the long journey, the old woman prepared dango
to him for energy.
While he was walking to the ogre’s island, he met a cute
cat.

Cat : Hi….Momotaro the peach boy.

Momotaro: Hi.. a cute cat.
Cat: Where do you want to go?.
Momotaro: I’m going to fight the ogre.
Cat: Ooh, what is that in your waist bag.
Momotaro: This is dango which can supply me an energy for hundred
man each.
Cat: Will you give one, I will join you afterward.
Momotaro : sure.

NARRATOR: Then they continue the journey. After a while, they met a
monkey.

Monkey: Hi….Momotaro the peach boy.

Momotaro: Hi.. a cute cat.
Monkey : Where do you want to go?.
Momotaro: I’m going to fight the ogre.
Monkey : Ooh, what is that in your waist bag.
Momotaro: This is dango which can supply me an energy for hundred
man each.
Monkey: Will you give one, I will join you afterward.
Momotaro : sure.

NARRATOR: Then they continue the journey. After a while, they met a
pheasant.

Pheasant : Hi….Momotaro the peach boy.

Momotaro: Hi.. a cute cat.
Pheasant : Where do you want to go?.
Momotaro: I’m going to fight the ogre.
Pheasant : Ooh, what is that in your waist bag.
Momotaro: This is dango which can supply me an energy for hundred
man each.
Pheasant : Will you give one, I will join you afterward.

Momotaro : sure.

NARRATOR: Then they continue the journey until they reached the
ogre island. After the pheasant survey,she told Momotaro
that the time to attack the ogre.

Momotaro: Hey the evil ogre… I want to give you a lesson for your
bad behaviour.

Ogre : Who are you the little boy?

Momotaro: I’m Momotaro the peach boy. I will destroy your life.

NARRATOR: Then Momotaro and his friends had attacked the ogre and
over came the evil. Lastly, the ogre surrendered and
returned the villagers belonging. And they were very
happy.
