PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Due to Malaysian economy becoming urbanised, the threat of

urban poverty is imminent. This threat is evident as Malaysia has
a 3.8% urban poverty incidence in 2019 (DOSM,2020). According
to the national poverty data bank, e-Kasih database, there are
3,677 urban poor households in Kuala Lumpur (ICU, 2019). A
research conducted by Mohamed Harith et al.(2020), the main
findings revealed that most of the urban poor resided in Klang
Valley had experienced financial insufficiency in sustaining their
livelihoods. Hence, to support the economic livelihood of the
urban poor, an e-commerce platform is proposed to help the
urban poor generate their income by promoting their products
and services online. The innovation is called eKasihpreneur app.
The eKasihpreneur app is user-friendly, easy to use and has
features such as chat, scan QR code, share profile, in-app call,
online banking and sales manager. This app will be in
collaboration with government agencies such as URBANICE
Malaysia, Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur and Ministry of
Entrepreneurial Development. This app will also have strategic
alliance with e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada,
Boost and Instagram.

Dealing methods are either meet-up, delivery or

both. According to our findings, the urban poor lack
mobility due to not having license or means of
transportation. Thus, this app allows the urban poor
to earn livelihoods by buyers coming to meet them
and buy their products and services.

collaborate with government agencies such as Dewan Bandaraya Kuala

of Federal Territories, Ministry of Entrepreneurial Development as well as
Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development.
