The Problem
Air Pollution – A leading cause of deaths

1
7/5/2018

Air Pollution poses a grave threat

PM10, PM2.5 matter responsible for major diseases

Threat of air • 4th leading cause of death globally

pollution is a • Causes 3 million deaths per year
real and grave • 88% of these deaths occur in developing nations
issue...

PM10 and PM2.5 responsible for major health scares

Respiratory diseases incl. Asthma and Chronic Obstructive
... and PM 10,
Pulmonary Disease
PM 2.5 are the
key culprits of Cardiovascular diseases incl. Stroke and Ischemic Heart Disease

pre-term births - 18% higher likelihood

Global warming potential for PM is ~ 460 times that of CO2

Working Mechanism
Chakr Shield captures exhaust emissions without adverse impact

Step 1: Cooling the exhaust in most optimized manner to cause rapid agglomeration of soot particles

Step 2: Capturing the soot particles by slowly passing the exhaust gases through contours and meshes while
interacting with solution

Step 3: Continuous cleaning of the meshes and contours in real time, collecting soot at the bottom in collection bin

HOW IT WORKS
Heat Exchanger
Special designed finned tubed Air
cooled Heat exchanger.
Reduces exhaust gas temperature by
150-200oC
Rapid cooling of exhaust gases cause
agglomeration of particulate matter
due to Thermophoresis effect
Increase in particulates size increase
the capture efficiency without
increasing Back-pressure
Design of heat exchanger ensures
maximum effective cooling with
minimal back pressure

HOW IT WORKS

Capturing Chamber
Specially designed mesh arrangement
where particulate matter is trapped/
captured
Ensures maximum capture efficiency
while creating negligible back-pressure
or pressure drop across the filter
The solvent is sprayed on the
contacting contours and flows down,
while capturing the particulate matter
Structure Size depends on the size of
diesel generator and its dust loading

HOW IT WORKS

Solution
Non-Toxic and Non-Flammable novel
solution
Continuously circulated through the
soot capture chamber, and collects
trapped carbon
It acts like a magnet which attracts the
carbon particles and carries them with
itself
After saturation, It is transported to our
processing facility where carbon is
removed from it

HOW IT WORKS

Collection Chamber

Sealed container where captured

particulates are collected
Collected particulate matter is stored in
the chamber till every maintenance
cycle and is replaced after every ~300-
500 running hours.
The maintenance requirement is based
on the running hours and exhaust
properties (particulate loading).
