Main Argument :

 When Bonifacio was elected Secretary of Interior, Daniel Tirona contested and argued that a
lawyer should handle the position. Bonifacio felt insulted and demanded an apology from
Tirona. Because of humiliation and anger, Bonifacio declared that all matters convened in the
Tejeros Convention were null and void. Together with his supporters, he left the estate house.
Bias:

 Alvarez’s bias is about the election that happened in tejeros convention. The events that are
given by Alvarez is pertaining on how the settlement goes on electing the officials and what
occurred during the day in tejeros. Alvarez’s points are about the event and what the committee
has done. Alvarez only mentioned the events of what happened and how the tejeros convention
went through.

Bias:
History Source – Primary Source

Advantage:

• The author is considered an eyewitness considering that he is one of the members of

Magdiwang and was also present in the Tejeros convention which leads it to being bias because he was
only able to write his experience and the group where he belonged from his own perspective. The
content from this account seems to be shorter than the secondary source.

Disadvantage:

Agoncillo

History Source - Secondary Source

Advantage:

• Has many events he put on the book and also he had many sources and information.

• The account was made by historian and great researcher.

Disadvantage:
 Tejeros Convention occurred on March 22, 1897 which was Aguinaldo’s birthday. It was not
mentioned that the Magdalo President Baldomero Aguinaldo intended to continue the
disrupted assembly, however the Magdalo members didn’t show up on the agreed place.
Agoncillo’s events covered up what happened before the Tejeros convention ensued. He
mentioned important events that took place before or prior to the said convention
