ABSTRACT
Today’s fast moving world, most of the required to electricity. Delivering supply of
electricity to its customers has become an important part of people.
Smaller dams mainly serve
irrigation purposes, the world's 44 largest reservoirs all
havehydropower
as theirmain goal
. ... In suitable locations and purely financial
terms,hydropower
can be a cheap source of electricity with low emissions.
Electricity powered plants, which
eeded
are nin some hydro power ventures, reduces the
need for coal or petrol fuel electricity. Dams are often a part of the hydro plant, and used
as power governors or controls for the rates and amounts
aterreleased
of wfrom reservoirs,
which is where wate
the r is stored.
Converts the mechanical energy from the turbine into electric energy. Generators in
hydropower plants
work just like the generators in other types of power
plants.
Transmission lines. Conduct electricityhydropower
from the plant
to homes and
business.
