FILM REVIEW: PRETTY WOMAN

Pretty woman, that was directed and produced by Garry Marshall in 1990, it’s a film mainly about
the relationship between a rich business owner and a very pretty prostitute. In this film we can see
a lot of romantic scenes between the two starring characters, but we can also see some dramatic
scenes in which we can see the difference between the stratum class, because the woman was in a
lower class than the rich business man.

Talking about the starring characters, the business man, Edward Lewis, was starred by Richard
Gere. And the prostitute, called Vivian Ward, was starred by Julia Roberts. This two main
characters met in a San Francisco’s street, while Vivian was doing his job in that street and Edward
was looking for his hotel. During the film, they finally fall in love, in spite of all the issues they have
during the film because of the class differences.
The main song of the film, “Oh, Pretty Woman”, composed by Roy Orbison, is one of the most
famous songs from films.

As you can appreciate, this film has two problems, the relationship between them and the classes
difference. But if you want to know if them get solved or no, and how, you have to see this film. I
promise you that it won’t be a waste of time.
