THE 6th AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING STUDENT CHAPTER

ANNUAL REGIONAL CONVENTION 2020

Event Background
The rapid growth of the world economy and globalization have made the economic
environment more dynamic and complex. The agricultural sector, which includes the agro-
food industry also faces the challenge and requires transformation to increase its contribution
in supporting the aspirations of becoming high-income countries. To achieve the target
requires participation from all levels of society including university students. It is important
for agricultural engineering students to participate in a student forum to share ideas on
improving the role of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering toward sustainable
agriculture.

Therefore, Malaysian Society of Agricultural and Food Engineers (MSAE) and Faculty of
Agricultural Technology Universitas Brawijaya are hosting The 6th Agricultural Engineering
Annual Regional Convention 2020 (6th ARC 2020). The program includes a meeting for
agricultural engineering students as well as a variety of activities that can strengthen the
relationship between participants from local Indonesia and MSAE’s members. The expected
participants are from Malaysia Society of Agricultural Engineers Student Chapter (MSAE
SC), Thailand Society of Agricultural Engineers Student Chapter (TSAE SC), Society of
Agricultural Engineers Student Chapter Philippines Society of Agricultural Engineers
Student Chapter (PSAE SC), Indonesia Society of Agricultural Engineers Student Chapter
(ISAE SC) and Japanese Society of Agricultural Engineers Student Chapter.

The activity in this year is ASEAN Youth Innovation Online Paper and Video Competition
“Innovation Technology in The Era of Globalization for Sustainable Agroindustry”, the
competition is fully online. The paper will submit to our email. The Poster of innovation will
be reupload at ARC 2020 Instagram and the Video uploaded by participant at YouTube but
set it private then your video link must be sent to our email to with your paper.

Purpose the event

To unite the students of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering from Indonesia and
Southeast Asian to concurrently carry out our duty and functions which correlates to the
development of science, knowledge, and recent technology in the scope of Agricultural
Engineering, Food Technology, and Agroindustry.
