Ketika hasil studi spesifik-kecemasan hanya diperiksa, daripada dikumpulkan dengan studi
stres atau tekanan umum, empat dari lima menemukan ACT menghasilkan hasil yang
menguntungkan. Dengan demikian keunggulan bukti dari tinjauan saat ini, didasarkan pada
kumpulan penelitian yang jauh lebih besar dan secara luas berkonsentrasi pada masalah
kecemasan, dukungan dan memperluas kesimpulan ini. Sebagian besar bukti ini
menunjukkan bahwa ACT lebih unggul untuk mengontrol kondisi dan, pada dasarnya, secara
luas setara dengan pendekatan psikoterapi aktif lainnya.
Results from this pilot study suggest that ACT is feasible to use with older adults with GAD.
All 7 of the participants who received ACT completed all 12 sessions. Preliminary outcome
data suggest that ACT may be effective in reducing depressive symptoms and worry, even
when conducted by novice therapists. Results from this pilot study suggest that ACT is
feasible and merits empirical evaluation as a treatment for GAD in older adults. Acceptance
