Book One: Sand

cursed with the power of ambition and a dire thirst to know more. You’d think thirst would steer
a man far from the desert, but a thirst for knowledge is far harder to satiate than that of water.”

Welcome player! Soon will be embarking on a grand journey across the many bending nations of
the world of Avatar. Perhaps you will play a bender yourself with a deep love of where you
come from or perhaps you will be a wandering warrior with only an ancestral spear for your
protection and a journal to fill with you adventures. Whatever the case, create someone you can
embody honestly and faithfully. Death will be an exceedingly rare circumstance in this system,
yet not completely unavoidable. Thus, the time to create your character is here. A few things
before you start. Within the most recent chapter of your backstory, you will have come upon a
letter or flyer. Perhaps it was addressed to you or perhaps you stole it off another. Within the
letter is a location, a promise of a great award reward and the chance to potentially save the
world! Whatever your thoughts on the letter, you are overcome with a feeling that leads you to
the location of a small village outside of the city of Omashu, near the Si Wong Desert where you
adventure will begin.

 This document will serve as your character sheet. I expect to receive a copy when you
finish so that I may have your backstory and stats.
