JOB DESCRIPTION

OF THE DIFFERENT OFFICES


IN THE COLLEGE DEPARTMENT

THE COLLEGE DEAN (Atty. Aristeo R. Cruz, CPA)

The College Dean shall be directly under the Office of the President. His tenure of
office is determined by the Board of Trustees. He shall have the following functions and
duties:

1. Assists the Chairman/CEO and the President/COO in all matters affecting


the general policies of the entire institution; **
2. Directs and advises students in their program of studies and approves their
subject loads; */**
3. Exercises educational leadership among his faculty; */**
4. Collaborates with other departments with regard to student services; **
5. Helps formulate and recommends educational policies in the
school/institution and issues the necessary rules and regulations for their
effective implementation; */**
6. Recommends through channels the curriculum and course of study to be
adopted for approval by the CHED; **
7. Supervises all the curricular and co-curricular activities as well as
administrative matters within the department in collaboration with other
officials concerned; */**
8. Develops and institutes a definite program of supervision to raise
efficiency of instruction; */**
9. Prepares and recommends the teaching assignment of faculty members in
the College Department; *
10. Recommends the appointment, promotion, or separation of faculty
members in the College Department; */**
11. Enforces the private school laws and the policies, rules and regulations
promulgated under its authority regarding admission and registration of
students, transfer of credits, subject-loads and subject sequence,
scholarship, residence, promotion, etc.; **
12. Prepares the annual budget of his department; *
13. Prepares an NSTP Annual Accomplishment Report in electronic templates
that includes the ff: names of NSTP graduates, projects and activities with
pictorials and documentations, and financial statements on the funds
collected, allocated and utilized, and submit the same to the CHED;
14. Serves as the Chairman of the multi-sectoral Athletic Council composed
of Athletic Coordinator/Executive Secretary, and one representative each
from the College faculty, Supreme Student Council, Alumni and other
Corporate Sponsors;
15. Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time; **
THE ASSOCIATE COLLEGE DEAN (Mrs. Belen G. Gregorio, MAEd.)

The Associate College Dean shall be directly under the Office of the College
Dean. His tenure of office is determined by the Board of Trustees. He shall have the
following functions and duties:

1. Assists the College Dean in all administrative and executive functions;


2. Runs the day-to-day affairs of the College Department effectively and
efficiently;
3. Represents the College Dean, if requested, in functions and activities of
the institution;
4. Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

THE ASSISTANT COLLEGE DEAN for Faculty Development & Student Evaluation
& Discipline

The Assistant College Dean for Faculty Development & Student Evaluation &
Discipline shall be directly under the Office of the College Dean. His tenure of office is
determined by the Board of Trustees. He shall have the following functions and duties:

1. Assists the College Dean in policy making functions;


2. Prepares programs for the improvement of the College Faculty;
3. Assesses and evaluates the students’ academic performance;
4. Makes recommendations with regard to shifting of courses based on the
students’ academic performance;
5. Represents the College Dean, if requested, in functions and activities of
the institution;
6. Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time;

THE ASSISTANT COLLEGE DEAN for Curriculum Review and Instruction


Development

The Assistant College Dean for Curriculum Review and Instruction Development
shall be directly under the Office of the College Dean. His tenure of office is determined
by the Board of Trustees. He shall have the following functions and duties:

1. Assists the College Dean in policy making functions;


2. Conducts periodic curriculum review and recommends changes to
synchronize with the CHED guidelines;
3. Monitors the quality of instruction by the faculty and recommends
improvement as necessary;
4. Represents the College Dean, if requested, in functions and activities of the
institution;
5. Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time;
THE DEPARTMENT HEAD

The Department Head shall be directly under the Office of the Assistant Dean.
His tenure of office is determined by the Board of Trustees. A Department Head is
responsible for one of the following departments: HRM DEPARTMENT,
ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT, BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT,
COMPUTER SCIENCE DEPARTMENT, EDUCATION DEPARTMENT, and ARTS &
SCIENCES DEPARTMENT. He shall have the following functions and duties:

1. Assists in implementing the policies, rules and regulations of the


institution in particular and of the CHED in general;
2. Assists in assessing, evaluating, and updating of the curriculum offered by
the College in his area of concern;
3. Oversees and monitors the activities of students and faculty in his area of
concern;
4. Recommends appropriate disciplinary action for students and faculty
whenever necessary;
5. Assists in developing and instituting a definite program of supervision to
raise efficiency of instruction;
6. Helps in the planning and formulating of strategies in promoting the
competitiveness of the College in terms of improvement of facilities and
development of new courses;
7. Advises students during enrolment as to the appropriate number of units to
be enrolled and the specific subjects to be enrolled considering the subject
sequence;
8. Prepares a periodic report on the activities and programs of the
Department concerned;
9. Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
THE PE COORDINATOR

The PE Coordinator is directly under the Office of the Education Department. His
tenure of office is determined by the Board of Trustees. He shall have the following
functions and duties:

1. Helps implement the policies, rules and regulations of the institution as


well as the CHED with regard to the Physical Education subject;
2. Sees to it that students receive quality PE instruction;
3. Recommends the improvement and purchase of PE facilities and
equipments;
4. Prepares a periodic report on the activities and programs of the
Department concerned;
5. Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

THE PSYCHOLOGY COORDINATOR (Mr. Ryan Jim Sy San Diego, MS)

The Psychology Coordinator is directly under the Office of the Arts & Sciences
Department. His tenure of office is determined by the Board of Trustees. He shall have
the following functions and duties:

1. Helps implement the policies, rules and regulations of the institution as


well as the CHED with regard to the Psychology course;
2. Assists in assessing, evaluating, and improving the Psychology curriculum
and syllabi in accordance with CHED guidelines;
3. Maintains the upkeep of the Psychology Laboratory;
4. Prepares a periodic report on the activities and programs of the
Department concerned;
5. Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
THE NSTP COORDINATOR (Mr. Orlando V. Payoyo, MAEd.)

The NSTP Coordinator is directly under the Office of the Arts & Sciences
Department. His tenure of office is determined by the Board of Trustees. He shall have
the following functions and duties:

1. Helps implement the policies, rules and regulations of the institution as


well as the CHED with regard to the NSTP program;
2. Assists in assessing, evaluating, and improving the NSTP curriculum and
syllabi in accordance with CHED guidelines;
3. Prepares Memorandum of Agreements with Local Government Units and
other Non-Governmental Organizations with respect to how each unit will
contribute to the sustainable success of the program;
4. Prepares and monitors the NSTP budget of the program based on the
actual NSTP collections;
5. Prepares accomplishment reports in electronic templates that includes the
ff: names of NSTP graduates, projects and activities with pictorials and
documentations, and financial statements on the funds collected, allocated
and utilized, and submit the same to the Department Head two weeks after
the semester ends;
6. Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

THE ATHLETIC COORDINATOR (Mr. Abraham Y. Cruz)

The Athletic Coordinator is directly under the Office of the Dean. His tenure of
office is determined by the Board of Trustees. He shall have the following functions and
duties:

1. Prepares a Comprehensive and Aggressive Athletic Program;


2. Draws plans and programs to maintain the competitiveness of the different
teams;
3. Monitors the formation, practices and performances of the different teams;
4. Serves as the Executive Secretary of the multi-sectoral Athletic Council
composed of the College Dean as Chairman, and one representative each
from the College faculty, Supreme Student Council, Alumni and other
Corporate Sponsors;
5. Prepares and monitors the Athletic budget based on the actual funds
available;
6. Prepares periodic reports and Annual Accomplishment Report and submit
the same to the Office of the Dean;
7. Maintains the upkeep of the Varsity Room;
8. Recommends names for Trainors, Coaches, and Team Managers;
9. Represents the school in different athletic competitions and seminars;
10. Advises the athletes with regard to their academic and athletic schedules;
11. Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
JOB DESCRIPTION

ASSOCIATE DEAN (Mrs. Belen G. Gregorio, MAEd.)

The Associate Dean shall assist the Dean in the discharge of his duties and

responsibilities, and shall perform such other functions as the latter may assign to him.

He shall assume the duties of the Dean during the latter’s absence.
