ACTIVITY – 3

Objective : To verify that amongst all the rectangles of the same perimeter , the
square has the maximum area

Material Required : Coloured papers, paper cutter, scale , pencil, glue etc.

Method of construction :

1. On coloured sheet draw 7 rectangles of perimeter 48cm say R1, R2 , R3, R4 ,

R5 , R6 and R7
2. Cut out these rectangles from the coloured sheets and paste them in activity
notebook.
