Dear Mr. Sy:

A contract of sale was made between you and Ae, including Bee, the financial provider and my
client, regarding the acquisition of a car, Ford Ranger, worth eight million pesos (P8,000,000).
My client issued a check with a value of four million pesos (P4,000,000) in your favor. However,
due to an unnotified circumstance, you did not release the said car.

As for the right of my client, under Article 22 of the New Civil Code, no person shall unjustly
enrich himself at the expense of another; when the person through an act, acquires or comes
into possession of something at the expense of the latter. I will be expecting your response to
return the check no later than 17 August 2019. If this matter is not resolved by the time
specified above, I will invoke his right to file a legal proceeding to recuperate the check he
issued in your favor, and this letter will count as evidence of your failure to do so.
