Van’s Service Station (also known as VanKirks Gas Station) located at 8147 S. State Road, Goodrich (now the Bohlen’s Restaurant, (also known as Bohlen Car Stop) located at 7006 S. State Road at Coolidge Road (now
empty lot just north of the Goodrich Plaza) was owned and operated by Charles VanKirk as a Standard Gas Burkland Tool) was open about 1960 to 1970. It was owned and operated by Sarah Bohlen and her daughter,
Station up through the mid 1960’s. There was a feed store in the adjoining building. In the Goodrich Ramona Their specialty was home cooked meals and gourmet banquets.Their phone number at the Goodrich
Telephone Company phone book in 1963, the phone number was listed as 35-11. Telephone Company was 94-3.

To the right: The Goodrich Lumber and Coal, located in the 8000 block of Pontiac Street was a mainstay for all lumber and coal
supplies, building and masonry supplies, dairy and poultry feeds and fertilizer and seeds for the area up until the mid 1960’s. The
building has been recently demolished. The 1963 Goodrich Telephone Company phone book lists the phone number for it as 27J.
