4.) Casting away sectional sentiments and prejudices and
bringing about fuller understanding of the different
ethnic groups.

IN THE 1960S,
poems, short stories and novels published by the
Bannawag became better — in craftsmanship,
development of plots and themes, among others. Writers
by then, most of whom were college students and
professionals, had a bigger library of literary books.

1961
