TASK 1: Written Communication of Analyzing and Producing Sentences
Direction:
1. The task can be done in terms of an individual and/or a group.
2. In a group, the students are grouped into small groups. Every group consists of 3 to 5 students. The members of each group are set based on the students’ preference/choice. 3. The students are asked to find out the reading passage entitled “THE DIGITAL AGE” on page 2-3. 4. The students are asked to read, discuss, and analyze the structures of sentences found in the reading passage whether they are simple sentence and/or compound sentence. 5. Based on the analysis result in the mentioned reading passage; the students are asked to rewrite two sentences for each sentence type as shown in the table. 6. If the sentence types do not state in the reading passage, the students are asked to produce the sentences (simple sentence or compound sentence), focusing on the topic of living in a digital age related with the vocabularies of basic computer terms, computer in education, banks, offices, airports, libraries, and entertainment. 7. The result of this task can be directly submitted to laodesanu@wicida.ac.id at lately 23.55 pm on 28 September 2020 in order to get further evaluation.
