    Sinthesys of n-Butil Asetat

    10 mL n-Butanol

    1. Inserted into measuring flask.


    2. Added 1 grain of boiling stone.
    3. Pour little by little 3 drops of concentrated sulfuric acid.
    4. Pour 20 mL of glacial acetic acid

    Mixed solution

    5. Mounted reflux cooler.


    6. Heated mixture solution at 90° C - 100° C for 1,5 hours.
    7. Inserted into separated funnel.
    8. Added 30 mL of water and shake it strongly.
    9. Separated.

    Up layer Up layer

    10. Pour 25 mL of water.


    11. Pour 7 mL NaHCO3 saturated
    12. Shaked it.
    13. Separated by separating funnel.

    Filtrate Residue

    14. Added 1 gr MgSO4 anhydrate


    15. Separated it
    Filtrate Residue

    16. Counted

    Mass

    Reactions :
     C4H9OH (l) + CH3COOH (aq)  C6H2O3 (aq) + H2O (l)
