1.0 PURPOSE
To ensure waste generated at the site is appropriately segregated, stored and disposed of in accordance with
regulatory requirements.

2.0 SCOPE
These procedures cover all areas where activities of BCG are being carried out i.e. during and Projects and
Maintenance.

3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
The responsibility of WM is with the respective PROJECT MANAGER’s, while the overall responsibility is
with the MR.

4.0 DEFINITIONS & VOCABULARY :

Waste Management: The collection, transport, processing or disposal, managing and monitoring


of waste materials.
Hazardous Waste : Waste is considered 'hazardous' under environmental legislation when it contains
substances or has properties that might make it harmful to human health or the environment. 

5.0 PROCEDURE:

5.1 Invaluable Scrap/ Waste


All invaluable material such as rubber, plastic, etc are segregated as required by the Municipality and
collected in skips. When skips are full, it will be removed by authorized agency and transferred the
same to the municipal dumping area. Carton will be removed regularly by a separate contractor.

5.2 Municipal & Hazardous Waste:


All types of municipal wastes will be collected in waste containers distributed throughout the company
premises including offices, workshops, and residential compounds. Daily removed by the municipality
trucks to the municipal dumping areas. The Hazardous Waste will be disposed off using the Format-
BG/TM/FRM-16/13
