Pollution occurs when ecosystems cannot get rid of substances introduced into the
environment. The critical threshold of its ability to naturally eliminate substances is compromised
and the balance of the ecosystem is broken.
The sources of pollution are numerous. The identification of these different pollutants and
their effects on ecosystems is complex. They can come from natural disasters or the result of
human activity, such as oil spills, chemical spills, nuclear accidents ... These can have terrible
consequences on people and the planet where they live: destruction of the biodiversity, increased
mortality of the human and animal species, destruction of natural habitat, damage caused to the
quality of soil, water and air ...
Preventing pollution and protecting the environment necessitate the application of the
principles of sustainable development. we have to consider to satisfy the needs of today without
compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. This means that we should
remedy existing pollution, but also anticipate and prevent future pollution sources in order to
protect the environment and public health. Any environmental damage must be punishable by
law, and polluters should pay compensation for the damage caused to the environment.
1. Waste not
Make the most of what you buy. You’d be surprised at the resources that go into products:
making one liter of milk takes a thousand liters of water and a lot of electricity. Think twice
before you chuck out the bottle with a little left in the bottom.
2. Nip the chill
You’re at the supermarket, café or pharmacy and you walk past the freezers and fridges.
Your mission: if any of the fridge or freezer doors are open, shut them. That’s it, just shut
them. Job done!
3. Skip the wrapping
If you have a choice, buy produce loose and not in packaging. So, pick a loose pepper
with no packaging versus a pepper in a Styrofoam tray with a plastic wrapper. Easy! Plus
it’s usually cheaper too.
4. Bring that bag
If you’re not already bringing your own reusable shopping bag, consider this tip. Get a
reusable shopper that’s silver-lined like a cooler bag, and use that for your grocery
shopping. You can pop in an ice brick to keep everything fresh until you get home, and it
does double-duty as an extra cooler bag for picnics and trips.
5. Choose sustainable seafood
There are no longer plenty more fish in the sea. If you’re eating seafood, you should opt
for sustainable species.
Inner Peace
The wind whistles past my ears. To clear my mind and find some glee.
Closing my eyes, I lose all my fears.
The waves crash into the rocks. It's days like these I truly treasure.
Out here there is no time on my clock. Amazing nights and beautiful weather.
It may not seem like much.
The serenity I feel here just soothes my mind. But it's moments like these I want to clutch.
A peaceful day so hard to find.
The breeze just calms my soul. For once I feel like life is bliss.
Helps me think about what is my life's goal. So many hard days in which my happiness was
missed.
I then look out over the ocean, I could get lost listening to the waves.
And it feels like my life has lost its Listening to the birds and watching how the clouds
commotion. behave.
The sun sets down over the clouds.
But the orange glow around makes me proud. I could close my eyes and fade into the night.
The tranquility I feel helps me win the fight.
As the night draws near. As the waves keep crashing into the rocks,
I feel like where I need to be is here. I feel the happiness in my heart become unlocked.
The soothing nature this afternoon brings
Just feels like such a beautiful thing. The day is drawing to a close.
The peacefulness I feel right now I'll only know.
I sit and wonder where life will go, Right now my mind is finally clear.
But right now all I want is for time to slow. It's time to go as the night draws near.
To enjoy this moment and feel free
