PUBLIC FUNDS DULY SPENT FOR PUBLIC PURPOSE

Congruent to the Revised Process Map of the National Irrigation Administration, the
Magat River Integrated Irrigation System (NIA-MARIIS) headed by Engr. Wilfredo C.
Gloria, Department Manager A, aimed to provide the highest satisfaction to our
relevant interested parties: the farmers and the transacting public.
For the month of August,2020, the Engineering and Operations Division under the
leadership of Acting Division Manager Engr. Jaime M. Lara, had completed projects
that contributes to the attainment of the Agency target: highest satisfaction to
farmers and the public.
1. Improvement and Provision of Pantry for employees;

Being an ISO 9001:2015 Certified NIA Office, the NIA-MARIIS Management


decided to provide a Pantry for a more organized workplace, while being used
by employees as their eating area;

2. Provision of an Archive Room for the MARIIS Administrative and Finance


Division;

3. Provision of Sound System Control Room at the MARIIS Multi-purpose Hall;


4. Provision for Lactation Room; and

BEFORE: The area where a Lactating Room will be constructed


DURING: Room Frames of the Lactating Room

AFTER: The almost finished Lactating Room – Window Tints are to placed
5. Installation of Barned wire at the Perimeter Fence of NIA-MARIIS Head
Office.

BEFORE: The existing perimeter fence of the compound lacks barbed wire,
that to enhance security of the compound, barbed wires has to be installed.

AFTER:

The approved budget for the above activities was Php 516,881.26. However, as the
activity was procured through public bidding, the government was able to complete
the same for a lower cost of Php 510,168.70, offered by GG Mateo Construction.
