Constitution NO.KV/47 of 2020/AMN/902019/9358/P:-WHEREAS the Govemment

of India. of Gujarat, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (2) of
article 243Q of the Constitution of India has altered the limits of the City
of Ahmedabad, vide Government Notification Urban Development and
Urban Housing Department No.KV/3/2008/AMN/902008/157,?,
dated the l7'n January,2008;

AND WHEAREAS having regard to the population of the areas, the

density of the population therein, the revenue generated for local
administration, the percentage of employment in non-agricultural
activities and the economic importance of the areas, it is considered
necessary to include certain areas in the existing local limits of the
Municipal Corporation of the City of Ahmedabad;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (2)
of article 243Q of the Constitution of India, the Govemment of Guj arat
hereby specifies the areas of the following Municipality, Village
Panchayats and Revenue Surueys of the areas of the Village Panchayats
as specified in the Schedule-1, Schedule-2 and Schedule-3 respectively to
be the larger urban areas and includes such larger urban areas which shall
form the part of the Municipal Corporation of the City of Ahmedabad.
The Govemment land situated within the revenue surveys of the areas of
the Municipality, Gram Panchayats and revenue villages as specified in
the Schedules shall not vest in the Municipal Corporation of the City of
Ahmedabad.
