Job Description - Heat Exchanger Design Engineer
Department: Engineering
Overall Summary
Process Design of Various types of Heat Exchangers based on the client provided
process data/details.
Responsibility involves review of client process details, P&ID study, Process/thermal
Design of Heat exchangers using HTRI software, optimization of heat exchangers
during bid stage. Selection of exchangers, materials (tubes, tubesheets, baffles etc)
tube layouts etc, including process calculations.
Mechanical designs calculations, material specifications and purchase requisition etc
will be an added advantage.
Coordination with inter-disciplines, other departments and external agencies like
client, consultants, etc.
Preparation / Review of techno-commercial estimations for static equipment,
including Heat Exchangers.

Required Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Mechanical/Thermal Engineering
Mechanical design of Heat exchangers & pressure vessels.
Exposure to PV Elite & Compress software
Knowledge of International Engineering practices
Safety / QA training / Certifications
Key Skills:
Required
Heat Exchanger Design Engineer
Well versed with HTRI, B-JAC, Heat exchanger process/thermal design software.
etc.
Sound Knowledge of International Codes on Heat Exchanger process design,
Process fluid properties etc.
Good knowledge of ASME and BS Materials
Excellent communication skills in English Language
Physically fit, able to travel and work overtime when required, flexible attitude, be a
team player.
Exposure to International Clients / Consultants, Engineering Standards and
specifications like Saudi Aramco, Sabic etc
Preferred
Exposure to software like PV Elite & Compress for mechanical design of pressure
vessels.
