DESCRIPTION
RIOSEIS GX is part of the newest generation of gelatinous sodium
nitrate explosives and is produced by MAXAM .
RIOSEIS GX is cap sensitive but nevertheless safe to handle.
Basically it consists of sodium nitrate, mixtures of nitroglycol and
nitroglycerine, nitrocellulose and other additives.
RIOSEIS GX doesn´t contain any nitro aromatic bonds like DNT or
TNT, which have been classified by the EU commission as
carcinogenic substances by now and therefore meets the current
requirements.
RIOSEIS GX is characterized by its high frequency energy impulse,
is easy to assemble and, through its so texture under low
temperature, is easily punchable.
Because of its high density it is easily sinking in water and mud.
RIOSEIS GX stands out through its excellent water resistance
APPLICATIONS
RIOSEIS GX stands out due to its very high efficiency and its user
friendly handling in particular and therefore is predestined for use
as a Seismic explosive where strong and sharp detonating impulses
are presupposed.
USE REGULATIONS
RIOSEIS GX is deliverable as of a cartridge diameter of 25 mm. The
explosive isn‘t allowed for underground use. The initiation must be
made by a detonator with a secondary charge of 0,6 g PETN (No. 8
strength blasting cap) or a detonator with comparable initiation
power. The maximum permi ed hydrostatic pressure is 40 bars. The
application temperature for RIOSEIS GX is from -40 °C up to +60 °C.
USE RECOMMENDATIONS
RIOSEIS GX is suitable for many application areas of the seismic
blasting technology due to its very high energy density, its relatively
high density as well as the high water resistance.
