ASSOCIATE ENGINEER, FACILITIES (UTILITIES AND FACILITIES)

Position Summary

Provide facilities engineering support to gas and oil hub utilities system and support to operations, onshore
engineers, and production engineering teams.
Work with a multi-discipline team of engineering personnel to support KBB operations inclusive of facility
optimization, in collaboration with parties responsible for wells / reservoir optimization. Technical preparation
and evaluation of change proposals in the conceptual phase in support up until execution at site.
Ensure related projects, MOC and related activities are managed optimally within the determined budget and
available resources to meet requirements of business units.
Provide competent engineering analysis and implement solutions from concept to closeout for facilities
problems. Implement Front End Loading, Decision & Risk Analysis at the early stage of engineering project.
Understand and communicate relevant equipment design/ operating capabilities including potential bottle necks
and expansion opportunities. Participate on multi-discipline asset teams as operations engineering
representative. Participate on assigned platform PHA teams.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Provide guidance and technical support to Operation Support concerning gas and oil hub associated system
with focus on utilities to ensure that all gas and oil hubs function safely and productively, with the objective
of meeting business goals for production and minimizing unscheduled equipment downtime.

2. Develop utility system operating parameters for optimal operation of KBB utilities.

3. Establish and review test and purge procedures and assess new technology, material and equipment.

4. Lead turnaround maintenance planning and provides support to the planning department by developing
work scopes and job packs for further development and scheduling

5. Provide QA/QC surveillance of ongoing repair work

6. Monitor system performance and prepare long and short-term facility plans.

7. Prepare complex written procedures to facilitate construction, maintenance, and operation of the
distribution systems.

8. Provide technical assistance and support for construction and field operations as needed.

9. Assist in the preparation of maintenance budgets and controlling costs within approved budget limits.

10. Support the policies, goals, efforts and programs of KPOC’s Health, Safety and Environmental Management
System. Ensure HSE issues are given primary consideration in all activities undertaken within area of
responsibility.

Requirements

1. Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.


2. Minimum 6 years of working experience in gas hub management in the Oil & Gas industry.
3. Priority to Sabahan applicants.
4. Malaysian applicants only.
