but is ready and available to jump in to offer guidance, expertise, and help when needed. I try
my best to make that my management style.

How Would Your Boss or Co-workers Describe You?

Actually, in my most recent project with your company, my direct supervisor described me as
someone who takes initiative and doesn’t run away from hard problems. When things go
wrong, it’s usually up to me to fix it. Rather than punting the problem back to the supervisor, I
always try to do what I can first. I know she appreciates that about me.

Education
Why you attended a particular university
The high school of engineering of Medjez el Bab has an excellent reputation. It also gave me
an opportunity to participate in excellent band and student government programs. In the end,
it was the right decision. I really enjoyed my three years there. I learned a great deal and made
some terrific friendships with both faculty and students.

I chose …. because I always enjoyed. I believe it has prepared me well for the type of work I
want to do. I can quickly analyze most issues or problem and reformulate them into agenda
item for directing brainstorming and group problem-solving sessions.
If you had to do it all over again, what would you have changed about your college
education?
If I had to do it over again, I would have spent more time developing good study skills

Although I have given a lot of presentations in my recent project, I did not feel as comfortable
giving speeches as I wanted to and now I look forward to each opportunity to give a talk.

Experience
What are your qualifications?
I spent a great deal of time working on advanced degrees, as indicated in my resume, and thus
I lack extensive work experience. However’ I believe my education has prepared me well for
this job. My leadership experience in college taught me how to work with people, organize,
and solve problems. I analyze well and quickly. My research experience helped me analyze’
synthesize, and develop strategies.
What do you like most about your present/most recent job?
I really enjoy working with a team of competent, energetic, and innovative professionals in
developing and implementing projects. During the past project I’ve had a chance to work

done, and then doing it.
What is your greatest weakness?
What are the two things you would like to improve about yourself?
The two things I would like to improve on over the next two years are my supervisory and
computer skills. I already know supervision and computers well, but I would like to do even

Do you consider yourself to be someone who takes greater initiative than others?
Yes, I do. Most of my experiences have afforded me a great deal of decision-making latitude.
Are you a self-starter? Could you give examples?
Yes, I am able to take on a new assignment and run it successfully without supervision. When
I was took my final project, it was in the CFD and I knew nothing about. They gave me the
responsibility of designing a new static mixer for a remieralization plant and measured his
performance. I didn’t know anything about that, but I understood CFD, so I read and talked to
people and learned what I needed to know. By the end, I fulfill my task.
Are you a good time manager?
I consistently meet deadlines. When circumstances beyond my control interfere, I re-prioritize
my tasks so I can get right back on track.

Motivation
Why should we hire you?
I assume you are looking for someone with solid skills. I would think this is something your
organization would want to bring on board.
What really motivates you to perform?

I want to find a job that is right for me.
Other Questions
Tell me about yourself.
I am recently graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Higher School of Engineers of
Medjez El Bab.
I started my university course by a preparatory cycle in Physics and Chemistry. I then pursued
my training by a cycle of engineer in Mechanical Engineering.
As I am very passionate about the hydraulic field, specifically water treatment. My end-of-
study project was at your company, during which I designed a static mixer downstream of a
desalination plant for desalinated water remineralization. During it, I enriched my skills in
fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and hydraulics. I had the opportunity to acquire good
knowledge mainly in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and this allowed me to master
hydraulic simulation software essentially ANSYS Fluent on which I treated several cases such
as " Hydrodynamics in a static mixer (CoV and pressure drop), the visualization of the flows
in the pipes (pressure, concentration and heat transfer) and the improvement of injection
systems (jet mechanism).
And while I really enjoyed the work that I did, I’d love the chance to dig in much deeper with
one specific company, which is why I’m so excited about this opportunity with EPPM.

What do you know about our company?

I know you are one of the major EPC contactors active in the Middle East and Africa. You
celebrate your 24th anniversary this year; you have approximately 500 engineers and have
experienced in three cores of businesses: Oil & Gas, Water Treatment and Industrial Plants. I
am especially impressed with your large range of services including engineering, project
management, procurement, construction & supervision, commissioning & start-up as well as
operating & maintenance services.
Basic and detailed design

The perfect job would be one in which I would be allowed to fully use my talents. I would
hope I would be given an opportunity to work on important projects. I work well in group
settings and enjoy taking initiative in developing large and complex projects.
What would you change about this position as well as our company?
I’m sure there are things I might want to change about the position once I begin work.
However, I’m not prepared to make any proposals at this time. I would want to consult those
who are most affected by my position to see what they feel needs to be changed. I need to get
a firm grasp of how the organization operates as well as learn more about the organizational
goals and those I’ll be working with.
What type of person would you hire for this position?
I would hire someone who has clear goals, and a proven track record of performance. I also
would want to feel comfortable with the person. Without a doubt, I know I would hire me,
myself.

The management team seems more supportive and the work is more challenging.
Are you willing to relocate?
Yes, I would be required to relocate. I’ve actually lived a lot of places.

How many days per month would I be expected to travel?
What are your salary expectations?
What would be your pay range for someone with my experience?
How soon could you begin work?
When would you want me to begin work?

It is necessary to evaluate the mechanical behavior of the piping under regular loads (internal
pressure and thermal stresses) as well under occasional and intermittent loading cases such as
earthquake, high wind or special vibration, and water hammer. This evaluation is usually
performed with the assistance of a specialized (finite element) pipe stress analysis computer
programs such as CAEPIPE and CAESAR.
My most recent experience has been handling incoming calls in the high tech industry. One
reason I particularly enjoy this business,
Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a branch of fluid mechanics that uses numerical
analysis and data structures to solve and analyze problems that involve fluid flows.
Computers are used to perform the calculations required to simulate the interaction of liquids
and gases with surfaces defined by boundary conditions. With high-speed supercomputers,
better solutions can be achieved. Ongoing research yields software that improves the accuracy
and speed of complex simulation scenarios such as transonic or turbulent flows.
Over the last 20 years and with the development of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
and faster computers, it has become possible to analyze numerically hydrodynamics and heat
transfer.
In this work CFD is employed to study the flow behavior in the static mixer for mixing
performance through simply following particle trajectories, by examining concentrations or
residence time distribution.
