PROPOSAL FOR THE GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATION OF THE

CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR THE CONDUCTS OF FEASIBILITY STUDY OF
MAGNAK RIVER BASIN (GENERAL NAKAR)

I. Introduction

Geotechnical Investigation is necessary in all types of civil engineering structures to

determine the capability of the soil to resist the load of the structures. Nowadays, three storey
or more buildings are required to have a boring test to determine the bearing capacity of the
soil as well as its behaviour when subjected to loads.

Hydronet Consultants Inc. will construct Flood Control Project in which the
geotechnical investigation is required in order to determine the bearing capacity of the soil in
the construction site which will be used in the design of footings/foundation of the above-
mentioned structures.

Based from the information gathered, the flood control project is need of three (3)
boreholes within the area. CCAP GEOTECH AND ENGINEERING SERVICES (the
undersigned’s consulting service) renders such services, thus this proposal.

II. Scope of Work

The work covered by the services to be rendered in this Geotechnical Investigation

(Subsurface Investigation) are as follows:

A. Mobilization and Demobilization

B. Field Works

1. Boring Test (the depth of 10.00 meters on hard strata or until the three (3)
successive SPT N-values greater than 30 are recorded.)
2. Penetration Test

C. Laboratory Tests (ASTM Standards)

1. Water Content determination

2. Mechanical Analysis (Sieve Analysis)
3. Unit Weight
4. Atterberg Limits and Indices
a. Liquid Limit
b. Plastic Limit

D. Soil Analysis/Geotechnical Evaluation

After conducting the different laboratory tests of the soils gathered from the site
together with the data obtained from Standard Penetration Test, the above-listed
properties will then be determined including the bearing capacity and the behavior of
the soil will be evaluated.

E. Geotechnical Evaluation Report includes laboratory tests result, boring log, borehole
plan, soil profile, conclusions and recommendations.

III. Budgetary Requirements

Mobilization and Demobilization Php 50,000.00

(With Site Inspection)

Boring Tests - Php 75,000/hole x 3 holes Php 225,000.00

Including two (2) copies of reports with

Laboratory Results and Geotechnical Evaluation
