DEMONSTRATIVE PRONOUNS VS DEMONSTRATIVE ADJECTIVES

The demonstrative pronouns are the same as the demonstrative

adjectives this that these those, what varies is their use.
It is easy to understand because we make the same distinction in
Spanish.
We take into account that the pronouns replace the noun, while the
adjective accompanies it.
The pronoun will tell us if what it replaces is singular or plural and if
the thing is near or far.

Pronouns Demostrative

EDUCATION ORIENTED TOWARDS THE PURSUIT
OF PERSONAL, ACADEMIC AND
PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE

INTRODUCTION

15
To speak of academic excellence today is to refer to the high quality standards that
educational institutions seek in international settings; it is also raising the intellectual potential
of each of the students, who can set goals for themselves through academic exchange and
with the support of scholarships. Academic exchange scholarships oblige the student to
achieve specific levels of effort, to maintain an excellent record, to accredit and certify other
languages, and to obtain professional recognition and recommendation. The accelerated
economic, political and social change that is experienced worldwide in the educational field,
demands entrepreneurial universities to lead their excellence academic towards innovation
and quality management activities that allow students to compete internationally and that
also promote intercultural relations. In response to the above, the EBC cultivates in its
students the ability to expand their knowledge and strengthen their skills in international
settings.
The idea of excellence is integral to the Higher Education. Despite the diversity under which it
manifests, excellence is present on the agendas of universities. Own challenges to the ability
of universities to meet the challenge of providing advanced training to millions of students
around the world or to add value to society and the need to develop internal systems for
quality assurance and subject external evaluations are but evidence of that excellence should
form the DNA of Higher Education Institutions. The concept of excellence in education is a
multidimensional construct that can be defined in terms of process, product and target. In
terms of process, excellence can be defined from instructional elements linked to teaching
methods, evaluation and feedback, resources that make excellent learning experiences of
students or the integration of teaching and research. But in the definition of excellence also
involved other less tangible elements such as academic engagement of students and teachers
or commitment of programs and courses to academic freedom and equality. In terms of
product, excellence is defined by performance indicators, satisfaction of stakeholders or social
responsibility. But in all cases, excellence is the goal in which Higher Education Institutions set
their plans for the future and part of its own definition of teaching.

WHAT IS THE SEARCH FOR EXCELLENCE APPROACH?

Excellence means using the faculties to the maximum and acquiring

strategies for the success of their own goals on a personal and social

16
level. Excellence includes the development of the capacity for change and adaptation, which
guarantees personal and social success, that is, the acceptance of change aimed at improving
the person: from social skills or effective communication to internalization of strategies that
have facilitated success for others. In this way, each individual builds his reality and seeks to
be better and better to also contribute to his community.

This excellence sometimes has little or nothing to do with simple numerical scores or indicator
measurements, but with a comprehensive performance that is the result of methodical work,
careful academic preparation, disciplined testing or training, etc. However, the widespread
belief that anyone, if they have the necessary contacts or if they produce something that
impacts the taste or opinion of the mass public, is enough to achieve success. Therefore, the
concept of excellence was opened, diluted, until it became an accessory attribute, which could
be obtained with a sophisticated system of appearances well directed towards specific
objectives.
However, the level of competitiveness in the modern world has made the need to cultivate
and seek that deep excellence, that combination of good manners, emotional intelligence,
operability and differentiated academic preparation that allows new generations to position
themselves in a labor market, appear again. increasingly closed, of places that are exceeded
variable by the number of applicants. When associated with the concept of quality, this search
for excellence will then become a fundamental tool for the integral personal development of
each individual with a view to the future in constant movement.

SUMMARY THE BLACK CATS
Salahadin was a detective, but few people knew about him. I was
waiting worried about a Pearson archaeologist who doesn't show
up. He went to the hotel where the director was staying and told
him that he had been murdered in his room. Then Detective
Salahadin tries to find who is responsible and looks for clues, he
observes the boxes that the seventh box is missing, so he thinks
it has a lot of value and that is why they took him, then Salahadin
and Ahmaed think how to find The Assassin AND When I come to
A Taxi Driver, I asked him who had gotten up around 11 in the
morning, so the taxi driver told them about a man who got up
and left him at the Cairo train station. The detective then
detected that he was going to Beirut by boat, made some calls to
the port, and told Ahmed that the killer went to Beirut. Then
Salahadin came to his house looking at some pieces of paper that
were from Pearson, where he talks about a black cat that asks
many questions. So Salahadin decided to visit Fuad and Leila
where he spent the night. Salahadin and Fuad arrived at the port
of Beirut. Sitting in a car and they see a man where Fuad recognizes him and says that
Borkman is interested in antiques, then Borkman gets into a taxi and a black car follows him
slowly, then Fuad and Salahadin chase him until the two cars disappear suddenly and there it
was an accident.

They saw that Borkman was very injured, he would try to help him and Borkman tells Fuad to
speak to Jusef and tell him that Pearson is dead and that the black cat is safe. He had given it
to Peterson.
Peterson took the black cat and brought it to Athenas. tells him that the ones they were
chasing were the Red Hand Mafia, then Fuad and Salahadin go to Athens. Salahadin and Fuad
returned to a house with Leila about what happened, then Salahadin decided to go to Athenas
as soon as possible, so he decides to take a plane and despises his friend Fuad. Fuad asks him
to take over the mob. Salahadin arrives at Athenas and then waits in the boat for the
passengers to get off, then he sees a man and he is Peterson, so he goes up now, he was
heading to Venice, he sits next to Peterson where we had already found him.

20
Salahadin entered Peterson's cabin looking for the box, but found it empty when Peterson
discovered and asked him what he was doing in my cabin and told him that Borkman had sent
it, Peterson does not believe him and thinks of shooting him. An accident occurs with the sea
and the weapon falls, Salahadin pushes Peterson out to sea. Then he goes to the cabin.
Salahadin shows at booth 22 an advertisement that says Do not disturb until he reaches El
Syria. Then he takes the box and Rome leaves. The next morning, he flew to Cairo and was
met with a surprise, Leila and Fuad were there and then he told them what had happened, so
Leila asks that this is the box and they take the black cat out. And they decide to take it to the
Cairo museum at that time. Fuad tells him that Jusef was the leader of the red-handed gang
and that he was in prison. Then they found the cat in the museum where they meet Faisal, he
tells them that it is a wooden cat that many years ago, so that he can put it in his museum. He
remembers Salahad when he visited the museum, a promise he made to him. Archeologists
found Ankuten's tomb thanks to Pearson's map. Amahed tells Salahadin that in the center of
the room was a glass box and there was the black cat.

POE EDGAR ALLAN

Edgar Poe was born in Boston on January 19, 1809. That
makes him Capricorn, on the cusp of Aquarius. His parents
were David and Elizabeth Poe. David was born in Baltimore
on July 18, 1784. Elizabeth Arnold came to the U.S. from
England in 1796 and married David Poe after her first
husband died in 1805. They had three children, Henry, Edgar,
and Rosalie.
Elizabeth Poe died in 1811, when Edgar was 2 years old. She

21
had separated from her husband and had taken her three kids with her. Henry went to live
with his grandparents while Edgar was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. John Allan and Rosalie was
taken in by another family. John Allan was a successful merchant, so Edgar grew up in good
surroundings and went to good schools.

SUMMARY OF THE BLACK CATS

From his prison cell, the unnamed narrator is writing the story of
how everything in his life fell apart. Since he will die the next day, he
wants to set the record straight, and tells us the story of his life.

From the day he is born, he is mild and kind. He loves animals and has lots of them. As he gets
older up these qualities grow stronger. Taking care of his pets and hanging out with them is
his favorite thing to do. His favorite animal companion is his dog.

Before long, he gets married. His wife loves animals too, and fills the
house with a variety of them. One of these is a humongous, all
black, super-smart cat named Pluto.
One morning, not long after the eye-gouging, the narrator is
overcome with a perverse impulse. He hangs Pluto from a tree in his
garden, murdering him. Writing from his jail cell, the narrator claims
When the man starts drinking, his personality takes a turn for the worse. He starts physically
and verbally abusing his wife and pets. One night, the narrator comes home from partying
completely drunk. Thinking Pluto didn't want to hang out with him, he grabs the cat and cuts
his eye out with a pen-knife.
he did it precisely because he knew it was wrong.

hat night, the night of the murder, the man's house catches fire and burns down. Only the
man, his wife, and one servant are left alive. But, they lose all their money in the flames, along
with the house. When the narrator returns the next day, there is a crowd in his bedroom,
looking at his bedroom wall. On the wall is the slightly raised image of a "gigantic cat" with a
rope around its neck (11) Since he left the cat hanging all day and all night, he figures one of
the neighbors cut it down and then threw it through his window to wake him up. Somehow it
stuck in the plaster of the wall. This bothers the man for a long time.
One night when he's out drinking, another black cat appears on the scene. This cat looks just
like Pluto, except for the little white spot on his chest. The man takes the cat home, and his
wife is quite pleased. When it is discovered that this cat is also missing an eye, the man begins

22
to despise it, while the woman loves it all the more. After some time passes, the woman
shows the man that the white spot on the cat's fur has grown. Oddly, the white spot now
forms an image of "the GALLOWS!" (21). (The gallows is a wooden device used to hang
people.) The man is too afraid of the cat to abuse it. The cat never leaves him alone for a
moment, and even sits on his chest and breathes in his face when he is in bed. So, the man
doesn't get any sleep. As his loathing of the cat increases, so does his physical and verbal
abuse of his wife. One day he and his wife go down to the cellar of the crummy old house they
live in now that they are poor. The cat follows them. In a fit of extreme irritation, the man
tries to kill the cat with an axe. The woman stops him, and the man "buries the axe in her
brain," killing her (23). The narrator wonders how best to conceal the body? After much
deliberation, the man decides to hide the body in a space behind the cellar wall. That night,
the man sleeps peacefully for the first time in ages. The cat is nowhere to be seen The cops
come around, but the man has finesses them. No big deal. On the fourth day, still no cat. But,
the police return and search the house again, especially the cellar. Right when they are about
to leave, abandoning their search of the cellar, the narrator decides to start bragging about
how well built the house is. He takes his cane and hits it against the spot in the wall where
he's hidden his wife's body..  noise answers his knock! It is a sad sound, like a kid crying. It
sounds horrible and desperate, but also victorious. The police are on it. They take down the
wall only to find the dead body, with the cat on top of its head. And that's why the narrator is
in jail, sentenced to death by hanging. The narrator had accidentally shut

MESSAGE
After having made different unpleasant and scary narrations, it can be said that Poe's
personality was similar to his protagonists, but in real life it turned out that he was full of love
bonds where he also loved animals more than all cats have compassion for animals not
mistreat them, they need love care and protection

CONCLUSIONS
 The demonstratives are this, that, these, those. They serve to indicate
which person or thing is being referred to. This and that are used with
countable nouns in the singular, and these and those with countable
nouns in the plural. This and these indicate what is close to the speaker or
an event that takes place at the moment of speech, while that and those
indicate what is distant from the speaker in terms of distance or time.

 Comprehensiveness is a fundamental premise for achieving a non-

discriminatory or segregating teaching. The education system alone
cannot achieve equality, but it must contribute to this objective by
promoting the greatest possible advancement for all people. This requires
quality education for the entire population, with a comprehensive
approach that addresses diversity in all compulsory education.

33
 The author Allan Poe does not clarify in his works and writings that any
man, at any moment, is competent to carry out irrational and terrible acts;
he puts it is competent to fall into madness at any moment. The author is
faced with such mental and unconscious behavior. The author shows us
precisely that the circumstances and the range of stages that the person
has acts of madness however can not do anything about his terrifying and
changing mental state.

 The lyrics of this song teach us to love our families, friends and people in
general and ask for forgiveness if we make a mistake, which is the most
beautiful thing that cannot happen in this life.

RECOMMENDATIONS

 With singular countable nouns this and that are used. For plural countable nouns these
and those are used.
When demonstratives are used to point to beings at a certain physical distance, this
and these indicate what is near the speaker: here; and that and those what the
speaker does not have at hand: there.
When the demonstratives are used to indicate an event near or distant in time at the
moment of speech, then this and these are used for a period that includes the
moment of speech: now, this morning.

 Attend classes. Do not trust the "magic number" of fouls you can have or think that it
will go well if you do not exceed it. Any class you don't attend means lost content and
participation. Some teachers evaluate your participation when calculating your final
average. Even if you are not asked to attend classes, you will make a good impression
on your teacher and teaching assistant if you attend them.

34
 Allan Poe shows us in the play that we as humans can make many mistakes that the
solution is not to discuss or reach the point of killing our relatives or animals. All the
problems we have a solution and the best way to solve it is conversation.

 Music recommendations is very beautiful, listen to music in English because it teaches

us the pronunciation meanings and new words.
