Speed limiter, bus

General
According to legislation, buses registered after January 1, 1994 in EU must be equipped with
speed limiter.
Retrofitting of speed limiter will be needed on buses registered after January 1st, 1988. For
such buses there is now a complete retrofitting kit.
N.B. The control unit in the retrofitting kit is basically programmed for 85 km/h and has to
be programmed locally to required speed limit depending on the legislation that applies to
that particular market.

Bus types
K93, K113 and L113 registered from January 1st, 1988 (does not apply to buses with EDC,
E gas and N buses).
N.B. The installation instruction is adapted to a CL113 chassis. This implies that it only ap-
plies as a recommendation for other bus types. Any installation problem on chassis and
coachwork must be solved locally in such cases.

Parts
The following is added apart from the retrofitting kits:
For bus type K113 - Rod 413 291 of diameter 6 mm and threaded at
one end with M6. The part can be ordered, but
as such it is delivered as a 2000 mm long blank.
Should be purchased locally as max 250 mm is
necessary.
- On buses with engines before engine number
5 310 885, existing fuel pipe has to be replaced
by 1 316 334.
For bus type K113/L113 - Arm 469 105 is added.
with automatic gearbox
For all kits - A small wire harness is added to be connected
between central electric unit - control unit -
diagnostics switch. The harness has to be made
locally and consists of the following parts:
813 279 Wire, 300/1200 mm
912 094 Wire terminal, 1 pc
813 889 Wire terminal, 1 pc
813 909 Wire terminal, 1 pc
