Lubrication for throttle linkage

Applies to series 3 and 4.

Background
It has been reported that the ball joints of the
throttle linkage seizes and also that wear is
sometimes abnormal.
This could make the accelerator pedal very stiff
to operate or could cause the throttle linkage to
stick.

Action
The present lubrication grease is replaced in
production from chassis numbers:

113 507
Scania Katrineholm 1 834 971

For the ball joints made of metal, a lithium

grease with the base of mineral oil is used.
For bushings made of plastic, a lithium grease
with the base of diester oil is used.

NOTE! These greases should not be used for

lubrication of the throttle cable.
