Background
Vehicles with ELC have sometimes behaved er-
ratically, raising and lowering themselves un-
controllably. A clicking sound has also been
heard from solenoid valves V54 and V55 for
ELC. Diagnosing trouble of this kind may
prove difficult.
It is often caused by earthing not having a con-
stant value.
Service solution
- Move the earthing point of the level sensors
to G13.
- If the vehicle is equipped with pressure sen-
sors T70 and T71, move them from G10 to
G13.
Vehicles manufactured after the following
chassis numbers already have G13 as the
earthing point for the pressure sensors:
