Art serves as mirror of the identity and rich culture of the Philippines.
Various art forms from different regions reflect what kind of culture we have
and people we are. As a Filipino it is our responsibility to know our different
forms of arts to fully appreciate and embrace yourself as a citizen.
This module discusses the various contemporary art forms and their
practices in different regions. Lessons and activities created will help the
students to understand and appreciate the contemporary arts of the
Philippines.

I. Pre- Colonial / Ethnic Arts forms are primarily influenced by the
geographical location and experiences of the Filipinos. Ethnic arts in Philippines
