Will be fully certified as a media specialist in Georgia when I graduate from my Master’s
program in Instructional Technology/Media Specialist from Georgia Southern University
in December, 2020.

Data driven, results-oriented, certified (grades 6-12) English teacher and ESOL teacher
with twelve years of experience teaching in the CSRA.

Teaching Experience

• 2016/2017 school year at Hephzibah High School , significantly increased


American Literature EOC scores from previous year
• Experience teaching 9th grade English, 10th grade English, American Literature,
AP Lang/Comp, British Lit., Creative Writing, SAT prep, and Drama
• Taught AP Language and Composition to sophomores with solid results
• Fully certified in Georgia (exp. 6/30/2021)
• Instrumental in developing a rigorous department-wide curriculum that fit the
needs of a top magnet school, while exceeding state curriculum standards
• Provided excellent communication with parents and students concerning
academic and behavioral progress, stressing positives while working on areas that

• Coached the first literary team ever at ARJ, with many students winning honors at
the regional and state level
• Resurrected the boys’ and girls’ varsity tennis teams, coaching them to five state
playoffs in six years.
• Spirit Week Coordinator (the school’s version of Homecoming week), overseeing
all Spirit Week activities, contests, and performances.
