1)What is truss?

A truss is an assembly of beams or other elements that creates a rigid structure. In engineering, a truss is
a structure that "consists of two-force members only, where the members are organized so that the
assemblage as a whole behaves as a single object

2) A rigid body is defined as a body on which the distance between two points never changes whatever
be the force applied on it

3) The method of sections is a process used to solve for the unknown forces acting on members of a
truss. The method involves breaking the truss down into individual sections and analyzing each section
as a separate rigid body

4) Friction is a force between two surfaces that are sliding, or trying to slide, across each other. ...
Friction always slows a moving object down. Fs= mu n – coefficient of friction

5)Type of friction: There is 4 type of friction: dry, Fluid.

6)Dry friction: Dry friction is the force that opposes one solid surface sliding across another solid surface.
Dry friction always opposes the surfaces sliding relative to one another and can have the effect of either
opposing motion or causing motion in bodies.

9) Fluid friction is friction that acts on objects that are moving through a fluid. A fluid is a
substance that can flow and take the shape of its container.
7)types of dry friction: static, dynamic:
Static: In friction. Static friction, in acts between surfaces at rest with respect to each other. The
value of static friction varies between zero and the smallest force needed to start motion.
Kinetic friction, also known as dynamic friction or sliding friction, occurs when two objects are
moving relative to each other and rub together (like a sled on the ground).
8) The simply supported beam is one of the most simple structures. It features only two
supports, one at each end. One is a pinned support and the other is a roller support
9) Cantilever Beams are members that are supported from a single point only; typically with a
Fixed Support.
10) The Centroid is the average position of all the points of an object. Centroid. When we cut a
plane shape from a piece of card it balances perfectly on its centroid.
11) Moment of inertia is the name given to rotational inertia how early body can move .
12)statics: Through statics we analysis about the load how it acting on a physical system And in
this case acceleration (a=0)
13)concentrated force: A force considered to act along a single line in space
14) Free-body diagrams are diagrams used to show the relative magnitude and direction of all
forces acting upon an object in a given situation. A free-body diagram is a special example of
the vector diagrams that were discussed in an earlier unit.
15) Radious of Gyration: I = Mk*2
16)Composite body: A composite body consists of a series of connected simpler shaped bodies.
That is the body is having two material as it's constitutes.
