1. Introduction of the Speech and Debate Website (riponhighspeech.weebly.com) 

a. Constitution, competitions, and club members  

b. Club is mostly focusing of the speech aspect 
c. Trying to organize two major speaking tournaments, and organizing 
committees to decide date, time, and topic for the tournament in 
December, as well as a rubric 
d. Ideas of possibly a virtual speech and debate 
2. Two google forms: One for if people want to be Club officers and one to get to 
know the club members and so David can post on the Speech and Debate 
website 
3. Impromptu speech on the topic of space travel and the allocation of funds for it 

a. Each meeting will have some form of impromptu speech 

b. Google form for impromptu topics 
c. New York Times Writing Prompts to further skills 
4. Next meeting next Tuesday at 12:45 October 13, 2020
