1. Why did you choose this vegetable plant among the different seeds given?
ANSWER:
I choose this vegetable plant because it easy to grow. You can grow a lot of beans in
limited space. It is grown in home gardens, on dikes around paddy fields, under partially
shaded areas as a companion crop or commercial crop.
2. What nutrients will you get upon harvesting your vegetable plant? Explain
what macro and micro nutrients that you will get in this vegetable.
ANSWER:
Green beans are a good source of vitamins and minerals. Green beans contain many
essential vitamins, including folate. One cup of raw green beans contains 33
micrograms (mcg) of folate, almost 10 percent of the daily recommended value. Folate
is a B vitamin that helps prevent neural tube defects and other birth defects. It also
decreases the risk of obesity, diabetes, heart disease and overall mortality.

ANSWER:
Yes I will continue planting this vegetable. It would be a waste if I did not continue
planting that vegetable. We can eat it when the vegetable is ripe.
ANSWER:
In the Philippines, beans is the most popular produced vegetable among edible
legumes because of pods, young shoots as well as the beans are available throughout
the year. String beans are one of the most nutritous vegetable, that's why it is in
demand in the market. Not only in the market but in other places. Some vendors often
sell it their neighborhood especially when it is freshly harvested.
