INTRODUCTION:
The church was originated in Roman Judea in the first century AD/CE, founded on the teachings
of Jesus of Nazareth, who first gathered disciples. Those disciples later became known as "Christians";
according to Scripture, Jesus commanded them to spread his teachings to all the world. But then in this
lesson it is not just on the structural aspect of the church but also to the one that is more important, the
people of God. In this lesson you will learn the difference between “church” and “Church” and deepen
the understanding between the two.
Definition of Terms:
Church – refers to the People of God
church – refers to the place/structure where the people of God are gather and pray as one
Priesthood - is the power and authority of God given to man, including the authority to perform
ordinances and to act as a leader in the church.
TRANSFER:
At the end of this module the learners are expected to realize the importance of the Church and to
identify the similarities and differences between “church” and “Church” of God.
ACTIVITY: In a short bond paper draw a “church” together with the “Church” of God. Be
guided with the rubrics:

INTRODUCTION:
Oneness or unity is just one of the qualities that Jesus expects His disciples to experience. The
Church must have this characteristics as well as three more: holiness, openness to everyone, and love for
mission. This lesson will show you the Oneness of the Church to God.
TRANSFER:
At the end of this module the learners are expected to identify the meaning of the four marks of
the Church and to make a prayer for the Holy Spirit’s guiding presence despites Covid-19 Pandemic.
