1. What do you mean by Ahkam of Salat? What are the Ahkam of Salat?

Ans: There are fourteen Fard or obligatory actions in Salat. Seven of them are
to be observed before starting of Salat which are called Ahkam of Salat. The
Ahkam of Salat are as follows:
i) The body must be cleaned.
ii) Apparels must be cleaned.
iii) The place for worship must be cleaned and unsullied.
iv) The Satr must be covered.
v) Facing the kibla.
vi) The proper time for Salat.
vii) Making the will or intention.
2. What do you mean by Arkan of Salat? What are Arkan of Salat?

Ans: Seven obligatory actions which are to be observed during Salat. These are
called Arkan of Salat. The Arkan of Salat are as follows:
i) To start the prayer saying Allahu Akbar.
ii) Standing in an upright position.
iii) Reciting Sura or Ayats.
iv) Performing Ruku.
v) Rerforming Sijdah.
vi) The last sitting posture.
vii) Concluding the Salat with Salam.
